Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992. born on the 25th of September, 1992. @]),[4][5][6] She is a Spanish singer from Spain. She was born and was raised in Barcelona. Her diverse style of music has earned her the status of a pop superstar. She was fascinated by Spanish folk music at the age of 13 years old. She was a musicologist at the Catalonia College of Music and was also a wedding singer. The album reinvented flamenco by combining it with pop music and hip-hop music. The third studio album she released, Motomami (2022) introduced reggaeton to an experimental new sound, moving away from the flamenco-inspired style. The album's two singles "La Fama", and "Saoko" attracted the attention of global audiences and were the most praised album by Metacritic. Rosalia has scored 10 number one singles from her home country throughout her career. This is the highest number she's ever had for an artist from her own country. Rosalia has been awarded 11 Latin Grammy Awards, two Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards and four MTV Europe Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and three UK Music Video Awards. Rosalia also won two Grammy Awards. Billboard gave her with the Rising Star Award in 2019 for "changing the sound of mainstream music by bringing flamenco to pop"[1818. It is also the first Latino-singing artist to be nominated for the Grammys for Best New Artist. Rosalia was born on 25 September 1992 in Sant Cugat del Valles and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires,[20][21][22] Baix Llobregat, Catalonia. Rosalia is the youngest of four children to Pilar Tobella, an entrepreneur who runs a small metalworking business. Jose Manuel Vila was her father. He was born in Cudillero (Asturias).
